Looking for a well rounded stylist with a following

Shapers is a fast-paced, upscale salon with over 30 years of providing the community with hair, nail, and waxing services in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are currently seeking a licensed salon assistant to join our team in a part-time capacity.

Duties include but are not limited to: shampooing clients, assisting stylists, maintaining cleanliness throughout the salon, laundry, and answering the phone when needed. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and self-motivated individual who can deliver excellent customer service.

We are looking to fill afternoon hours, typically 2pm-close, and Saturdays.

The Opus Westchester is a luxury lifestyle hotel that is part of Marriott's Autograph Collection located in the White Plains area in New York. The Opus Westchester is looking for a Cosmetologist to join our team. Reporting to the Spa Director, The Cosmetologist will assist the Spa department with the guest satisfaction and the efficient operation of the hotel by assisting front & back of the house operating departments.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide make-up services to guests. Optional - hair styling, cutting, and possibly color services, nail services, waxing, and skincare services to guests. Assess guest needs, inquire about contraindications, and examine skin, hair, or nails to evaluate condition, appearance, and appropriateness of scheduled service. Determine and advise guests on proper skin, hair, or nail care and recommend home care regimens. Promote and sell spa/salon services and retail products. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Set up workstation and/or treatment room with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and safety. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.

Supporting Store Success Help make a beautiful first impression by keeping the store sparkling and stocked. Drive results by contributing to your store’s sales goals and sharing your knowledge of Sephora’s policies and standards. Support special events, promotions, and priorities as needed. Ensure all state license requirements are met regarding paid services. Support store priorities and participate in inventory control and programs to prevent loss, as needed

Requirements:
-Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
-Retail or related experience strongly preferred.
-Basic reading and math skills.
-Ability to use computerized point of sale system, SAP experience preferred.
-Must be able to work weekends as availability guidelines require
18 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent GED, preferred.
-Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
-Must be able to stand and walk about the store throughout scheduled shift.

Part time: Saturdays or every other Saturday.
Job description: Shampooing, keeping salon clean, answer phone calls, blow outs, apply color, etc.
