11.0 Advanced Permanent Wave Wraps

Although Hair Color is all the rage and Permanent Waves are a thing of the past there are clients out there looking for something but don't know how to get what they are looking for. It is up to the stylist to be able to assist the client in creating what they are looking for and many times it is a change in texture of their hair that will satisfy them. This course is designed to teach different types of permanent wave wraps that will offer your clients a variety of textures for those looking for something different.

Lessons

11.1 Braided Perm Wrap

The Braided Permanent Wave Wrap is a technique of braiding hair and then perming it.  Many different results can be achieved by changing the size, placement, and amount of braids put in prior to perming the hair.  This lesson shows the technique of creating a Braided Perm Wrap.

11.2 Corkscrew Perm Wrap

The Corkscrew Permanent Wave Wrap is a technique that uses the Spiral Perm wrap procedure and adds a twisting technique to soften the effect of the curls that are wrapped around the permanent wave rods.  This creates a softer, less curly result compared to a spiral perm wrap.  This lesson shows the technique of wrapping a Corkscrew Perm Wrap.

11.3 Curly Wave Perm Wrap

The Curly Wave Permanent Wave Wrap is a technique to create a permanent wave that has more curl on the ends of the hair and less in midsection and root area.  This lesson shows the proper rolling technique for creating a Curly Wave Perm Wrap.

11.4 Helicopter Perm Wrap

The Helicopter Permanent Wave Wrap is designed to place curl on the ends of the hair design and the rest being left straight.  The tools used for this design is determined by the length of the clients hair.  This lesson shows the procedure for wrapping the Helicopter Perm Wrap.

11.5 Pincurl Perm Wrap

The Pin Curl Permanent Wave Wrap is designed to create a bend in shorter hair.  Excellent for male clients and women who wear a shorter haircut.  Pin Curl Perm wraps can also be used in blending area's of a permanent wave when the top of the design is being permed and the lower portion of the hair design is being kept straight.  This lesson shows how to create a full head Pin Curl Perm Wrap.

11.6 Rag Perm

The Rag Permanent Wave Wrap is excellent for longer hair clients that wish to have large, soft beach waves.  The process utilizes rags and large sections.  It is important to know that after this permanent wave wrap the client must get the ends of their hair cut.  This lesson shows the procedure for wrapping a Rag Perm.

11.7 Root Extension Perm Wrap

The Root Extension Permanent Wave Wrap is designed to protect previously permanent waved hair from getting damaged when re-perming the hair that has grown out.  This perm wrap can also be done so that only the root area of the hair becomes curly for volume in a design.  This lesson will show the tools and technique of wrapping a Root Extension Perm Wrap.

11.8 Root Perm Wrap

The Root Permanent Wave Wrap is designed to create curl at the root area which introduces volume into a design.  It also is used to Perm previously permanent waved hair that has grown out.  This lesson shows the technique of wrapping a Root Perm Wrap.

11.9 Stack Perm Wrap

The Stack Permanent Wave Wrap is to apply curl to the ends of a One Length or Graduated Haircut.  Although a specialty wrap it can be utilized in ways to create curl in different parts of a Haircut.  This lesson will demonstrate the steps and tools necessary to create this permanent wave wrap.

11.10 Zodiac Perm Wrap

The Zodiac Permanent Wave Wrap is designed to create maximum volume with a permanent wave wrap.  It is actually 2 perm wraps in one.  Usually designed with smaller permanent wave rods placed at the root area and larger rods placed on top.  This lesson will show you the technique on how to perform this wrap.
